The following are the 6 professions in the Fire Community. Each relates to the central Knowledge Base. Each profession has its own appeal and requirements.

• Fire Researcher
  

The knowledge base started with the lessons from fires that happened. To this was added the standards (1896 to present), the building Codes (1916 to present), and now the computer (CAFire) models.
