A Global Endeavor to Communicate Fire Knowledge

The Fire Service is known by many different names worldwide. It's the Fire Department to some, Fire Brigade to others, Rescuee Unit to others. This is an organized group of individuals trained and equipped to handle unwanted fires to which they are called. There are several specialists (eg., Training, Maintenance, Communications, etc.) in this profession.

Not so many years ago, fires were notably slower. Since then, the materials used in buildings have produced faster fires, but the frequency of automatic sprinkler protection and fire detection systems has led to lower fire losses.

Several persons in this part of the Fire Community have offered to assist those with questions, or those who are exploring our professions to see if a career is this area might be appealing. The people available can be found on the Advisors page.
