A Global Endeavor to Communicate Fire Knowledge

These folk work with the flame and the building itself. They generally report their findings to the building owner.

Skills necessary to be a master in this profession are knowledge of fire phenomena, fire behavior, fire history, be a multi-discipline Fire Protection Engineer, know people behavior in fire, methods of fire confinement, and fire termination through water from the inside (automatic sprinklers) and water from the outside (fire service operations).

Since unwanted fire is an engineering phenomena, an undergraduate degree in a traditional engineering discipline, followed by advanced degree(s) in the fire discipline is useful.
