A Global Endeavor to
Communicate Fire Knowledge
The Fire Researcher usually has a scientific background and advanced degrees.
He is generally interested in identifying the phenomenology involved in a way
that provides a valid mathematical algorithm for the phenomena.
Lately,
the Fire Researcher has been developing computerized programs for a fire. The
fire is the "load" in an engineering sense. The "resistance" is the termination
efforts mankind exerts. At this point it seems to be the combustibles causing
the fire growth and the shaping by the building that are most interesting. The
manual and automatic water delivery systems for a fire in progress have not yet
been computerized.
Several persons in this part of the Fire Community
have offered to assist those with questions, or those who are exploring our
professions to see if a career is this area might be appealing. The people
available can be found on the Advisors page.
